Across the Pond
December 7, 2008
I had a dream last night that I was living in London as a guest in some family’s home. What is really strange is I was just having a conversation with my roommate about only having realistic dreams, as opposed to her epic dreams that typically include flying and celebrity sidekicks. I tend to have slightly twisted dreams involving places I’ve been or a random collection of people I know, and the occasional actor’s/designer’s nightmare. I hope this means I’ll be traveling to Europe in the near future, because it’s something I have thought about for a few years. I have no problem using a random dream as motivation to do something new.
A Wonderful Post
September 30, 2008
I’ve begun my prep work on A Wonderful Life and I hope to have my plot complete by Friday. Its great to be working on a production outside of summer stock. I finally have the time to work everything out and go into tech with a solid design. I also found out today I’ll be designing their children’s show Snow White, but I won’t be there for tech rehearsals, so I hope we can get everything worked out before I leave town.
No luck yet on finding work in October, but hopefully I can keep myself busy with AWL until I find work.
Dark Knight
July 18, 2008
After an exciting opening night and a great cocktail party, I went to see The Dark Knight at midnight. I think Dark Knight may have passed X-Men 2 as my favorite comic movie. The action was great and Heath was so incredible. And if you don’t agree, I know this great magic trick…The Dissapearing Pencil…
Midsummer Classic
July 16, 2008
I am currently watching the final dress of my 5th show this summer, The Foreigner. The show is one of the easier of the summer, which has given me the opportunity to tie up all the loose ends and design a solid show. This also marks the second show I’ve had a role in this summer. I played the Bus Driver in All Shook Up and I play a townsperson/klansmember in this show. I’ve also been rehearsing for the next kids show and I have very small role in the The Producers later this month. All this acting has been exciting and a should only make my design work stronger. Plus its a great way to distract myself from the craziness here.
Monday I will be in Chicago searching for my first post college apartment. Its a very exciting but very stressful time.
And as for the Midsummer Classic, I watched most of the extra innings of the game. And even though it was long and boring, it was nice to sit back and enjoy some baseball with a couple of cold beers.
